Being in Royal Plaza means we are around other businesses, so there is always some noise in the hallway. Our spot on Bedi Bunder Road is easy enough to find if you know the Patel Colony area. The office has a tiled floor that always feels a bit cold, even when it is warm outside. We have a big table in the center where we spread out all the blueprints. Sometimes we run out of space and have to use the floor. It is just a few of us here most days, typing away or arguing over a measurement that doesn't seem right. We have a big window that looks out towards the road, and sometimes we get distracted watching the cows or the scooters go by. The walls are covered in some old photos and a few charts we need for work. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just the basics that help us get the engineering work finished. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we all just sit there and wait for the generator to kick in. It is a very normal way to spend a workday. We like the local tea shop down the street, and someone usually goes to grab a batch for the whole office around four in the afternoon.
