Our office is on the first floor at 17 B/B in Gandhi Nagar, right above the Divine & Art Gallery. It is a pretty well-known spot in Jammu, so most people don't have a hard time finding us. Being above an art gallery is actually kind of nice because it keeps the building feeling a bit creative, even when we are just doing the boring parts of architectural work. Iqbal Architectural Company is basically just a few of us surrounded by rolls of paper and drafting tools. The light in this building is good, which helps when we are looking at small lines on a map or a building plan. Gandhi Nagar can get quite busy, especially with the shops nearby, so parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We usually get to the office early to beat the traffic and have a bit of quiet time before the phones start ringing. There is a lot of back and forth with clients, and we spend plenty of time just talking through how a room should look or where a wall should go. We don't have any flashy signs or a big lobby. It’s a functional space meant for working. We have been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us by name. It’s a steady pace of work, and we just try to keep up with the projects we have on our plate without making things more complicated than they need to be.
