Hotel Jhelum Resorts is based in the city of Jammu. We are located right in the heart of the 180001 area of Jammu & Kashmir. The Jhelum name is something we are quite proud of, even if the actual river is further north in the valley. Jammu is the winter capital, so we see a lot of changes in the crowd depending on what time of year it is. When it gets very cold up in the mountains, more people tend to stay down here. Our place is more of a resort style, but we keep things very down-to-earth and simple. It is not a high-end luxury spot with marble floors everywhere. It is just a comfortable place where tired travelers can get some rest. The city can be quite noisy and busy, especially near the main roads, but we try to keep our space feeling a bit more relaxed for everyone. We have been part of the Jammu business community for many years. A lot of pilgrims who are on their way to the various shrines pass through here. The staff knows all the local routes and can tell you where to get the best local food nearby. We deal with the usual daily stuff like power backups and making sure the heaters work during the cold winter months. It is a lot of hard work to keep a resort running in this part of the country, but we just take it one day at a time. It is a local business run by local people.
