St Paul'S School

St Paul's is located in Paharpur, Jalpaiguri. It’s a well-known school in this corner of West Bengal. We have a fairly large campus with plenty of space for the students to move around. The weather here can be quite damp because of the region, so the building needs constant maintenance to keep the dampness away from the walls. We have students starting from the primary levels all the way up. The teachers here are mostly from around Jalpaiguri, so there is a strong local connection. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People usually hear about us through word of mouth from their neighbors or cousins. The school day starts early, and you can see the yellow buses moving through the narrow roads of Paharpur to pick everyone up. We have a library that’s seen better days, but it has all the books the kids need for their studies. The playground gets very green during the rainy season. We just keep things running as smoothly as possible, dealing with the daily small problems that come up in a school. It's a place where we focus on the basic education of the local children without making a big fuss about it. We are just a regular school trying to do a decent job for the community here, year after year, through the heat and the rain.
