Ava Steel Industries

We are over at Plot No. 16 B in the Satalite Town Ship. Most people in Jalpaiguri probably know the Phoolbari area pretty well. It stays busy here with all the trucks coming and going all day long. The steel business isn't exactly quiet work. You can hear the machines running from early in the morning until we finally close up for the night. We have been in this spot for a while now. The dust gets everywhere when the wind picks up, but that is just how it is in this part of the district. It is mostly local guys working here at the shop. We handle a lot of different orders depending on what people need that week. Some days are packed with work and other days we are just waiting for a delivery to show up. The workshop is big enough for what we do, but it gets cramped when there is a lot of inventory sitting around. If you are looking for us, just head toward the township and ask around. Most of the neighbors know where the steel yard is. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk and some chairs where we handle the paperwork. It gets really hot under the tin roof during the summer months. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait. That is just life here in Phoolbari. We keep our tools ready and do the work.
