Shrijaikisan Dairy is a small operation we run on Nandura Road in Jalgaon Jamod. We are located right at Mahadav Bambatkar’s place. It’s mostly about processing milk that we get from the local farmers around this part of the country. We start our work when most people are still asleep and the sky is still dark. The trucks come in early and we start the cooling and processing right away to keep things fresh. It is a lot of heavy lifting with the milk cans, so everyone stays pretty fit without trying. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Our office is usually just a small desk in the corner of the processing room where we keep our notebooks and pens. The smell of fresh milk is everywhere, which we don't even notice anymore since we spend all day here. We have a few machines to help with the pasteurizing. Sometimes they need a bit of a kick or a repair to keep going, but we manage. We are just local people working with what we have. We don't use any fancy words or marketing talk to describe what we do. We just take the milk, process it, and send it out to the shops. It’s honest work and it keeps our small crew busy throughout the week. Jalgaon Jamod is a quiet place and we like it that way. If you walk past on Nandura Road, you’ll probably see us.
