Shree Samarth Foods

We started Shree Samarth Foods out here in Anturli because it’s where we live. Most of the people working here are from around Muktainagar. We do food processing and packing. It’s not fancy or anything. Just a shed where we keep things clean and follow the steps. Most days we are busy dealing with the local harvest. It gets dusty and hot in this part of the district, but we keep the machines running. Some days the power cuts out and we just sit outside until it comes back on. We aren't trying to be a big global brand. We just want to get the food out to the shops without any trouble. Our families have been in this village for a long time. The work is hard and repetitive, but it pays the bills. Sometimes we make mistakes with the labeling, but we fix it before it leaves the post. We just handle the daily stuff as it comes. It's a small team, mostly relatives and neighbors. We know everyone who walks through the door. If you come by the taluka, you’ll see our place easily enough. We don't have a big office, just a desk and some chairs. It’s basically just us making sure the quality is okay before the bags get loaded onto the trucks. Our main goal is just making sure the produce doesn't go to waste. We stay busy year-round depending on what's growing in the fields.
