Shree Jalaram Engineering

Shree Jalaram Engineering sits on Plot-D-63/A in the M.I.D.C area. You can find us right near the Supreme Pipes building on Ajanta Road. Being in the industrial zone means there is always a lot of dust and the constant sound of trucks passing by. Our workshop is a big metal structure that gets pretty hot in the middle of the day, but that is just the way it goes in this line of work. We have several heavy machines bolted to the floor, and they stay running for most of the daylight hours. The guys on the floor are usually covered in a bit of soot or grease, but they don’t mind it much. We have a small corner that serves as an office where we keep the ledgers and the telephone, though someone is rarely sitting there for long. Most of the time, we are out by the machines or checking on a shipment near the loading dock. It’s a gritty environment, but there is a certain rhythm to it that you get used to after a while. We don’t really bother with decorations or anything fancy; the walls are mostly covered in old calendars and safety posters that have faded over time. We start our shift when the sun is coming up over the factory roofs and we don't usually head out until the streetlights on Ajanta Road are on. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but it keeps the business moving.
