Pita Shree

Down here in Village Khede, things move a bit slower than the big cities, but we stay busy enough at Pita Shree. Being near the Hdfc Bank means there is always people passing by our spot in Nandurbar. We mostly just focus on what needs to be done today. Some days that means sorting through bags or checking on the supplies we got from the local farms. It gets quite dusty on the road out here in Dist. Shinde, especially in the summer months when the wind picks up. We have a small team, mostly just family and a couple of guys from the village who help out with the heavy lifting. The shop isn't much to look at, just a practical space where we can work without too much noise. We don't use any of those big machines that make everything taste like metal. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. You get used to the routine after a few years. It's funny how everyone knows everyone around here. We just try to provide what people need without making a big fuss about it. My boots are usually covered in dirt by the time I head home. It is hard work, but it keeps us going. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to walk in.
