S.S. Mechanical Works

S.S. Mechanical Works is located right at Kishan Pura Chowk. If you know where Kamal Hospital is, we are very close to that, so it’s hard to miss us. We have been doing mechanical work at this spot for a long time now. The workshop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a place with tools and machines and a lot of oil on the floor. We deal with all sorts of mechanical repairs and parts. Most of the people who come here are locals or people passing through Kishan Pura Chowk who need something fixed. It gets pretty loud and greasy in here, but that is the nature of mechanical work. We don't have an office with air conditioning; we are usually out on the floor getting our hands dirty. Being near Kamal Hospital means there is always traffic and people moving about. We have a few guys who really know their way around an engine or a machine. We don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth around the Chowk usually keeps us busy enough. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, and we end up staying late under the shop lights. It is just honest work. We don't make big promises, we just look at the machine and try to get it running again. That’s how we have always done things here.
