Jarta Mechanical Works

Our workshop is located at 517 in East Mohan Nagar. It is right on Guru Ravi Dass Road, which is a place most people around here know well. It’s not a quiet neighborhood because there is always some noise from the tools and the traffic outside. We have been working out of this space for quite some time now. Jarta Mechanical Works is just a place where things get fixed and parts get moved around. The floors have some oil stains and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s a working shop, not a showroom. We spend most of our mornings getting the machines ready and checking what came in the day before. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when we are busy with a lot of manual labor. There isn't any fancy air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that do their best. Neighbors stop by sometimes to chat or ask for a quick favor with a tool. We keep our tools organized as much as we can, though things usually get messy by the end of a long shift. The street gets crowded with trucks and tempos loading stuff, so parking is always a bit of a headache for everyone on the road. It’s just how it goes in this part of the city. We show up, do the mechanical work, and go home. Usually, we keep the main door open for a breeze.
