S. V. Cold Drink Factory

S. V. Cold Drink Factory is located right on Chandigarh Road in Sudha Majara Village. We are part of the Balachaur Tehsil, so we are a bit of a drive from the bigger cities. If you pass the Balachaur Post Office, you are basically right there. We have been making cold drinks here for quite a while now. The building is simple and we keep the floors clean because of the sugar and the liquids we handle. It gets very dusty outside in District Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, so we try to keep the doors shut as much as possible. We do not have a fancy board of directors or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure the bottles are filled and capped properly. Most of our customers are the small shopkeepers who stop by with their tempos to pick up stock. We talk about the local news and the weather while we load the crates. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back. We use that time to drink some tea and rest a bit. We are not trying to be a global brand. We just want to provide drinks for the people in our area. The work is hard during the summer when everyone is thirsty, but we do not mind the long hours. It is just how a small factory in a village works.
