Refreshment Centre

You can find the Refreshment Centre at Shop Number 13 on Nakodar Road in Jalandhar City. We are very close to Khalsa School, so we get a lot of noise from the kids during their lunch breaks and when school lets out. It’s a busy part of Jalandhar and the road out front is always full of trucks and bikes. Our shop isn't very large. It’s just a standard room with some benches and a place where we keep the snacks and drinks. We’ve been here at 144001 for quite some time now. I took over from my older brother a few years ago. We don't have a fancy menu or anything like that. People just come in for a quick tea or something to eat while they wait for their bus or finish their work. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to close down and do it. It’s a loud place because of the school and the traffic, but we like the energy. We start early in the morning to get everything ready before the first bell rings at the school. It’s a simple business, nothing too complicated about it. We just serve what people want and try to keep things moving. Nakodar Road is a tough place to work sometimes, but this shop is our life. We are just local people serving our neighbors and friends.
