Bholath is a small place and everyone pretty much knows everyone else. Our office is in Ward Number 3, right by the VPO. Dealing with foreign exchange in a place like this is interesting because you see a lot of families who have relatives living abroad in places like Canada or Europe. They come in with different currencies and we help them figure it out. It is just a small private limited setup. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a couple of us sitting in the office waiting for the next person to walk through the door. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to wait it out or use the backup if it is working. The walls are a bit plain and we could probably use some new chairs, but it gets the job done. Working with forex means we have to stay updated on the rates, which changes all the time. It keeps us on our toes even when the street outside is quiet. We have been in Ward 3 for a bit now and it feels like home. You won't find any fancy slogans here. We just count the money, check the documents, and send people on their way. It is a practical business for a practical town and we enjoy the daily routine.
