R P Gupta & Associates is tucked away near Shastri Mkt on Nehru Garden Rd. We've been at H N -86 for longer than I can remember. The office has that old-school feel where things are done on paper first. Jalandhar gets quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the desks, but the files just keep piling up. It is a busy area because of the market, and the traffic outside can be a real headache during peak hours. We usually start the day early before the heat gets too bad. It's not a big corporate space with shiny furniture. We have some old chairs that have seen better days and a clock on the wall that ticks a bit too loud. People from the neighborhood drop in, sometimes just to say hello or ask a quick question about their documents. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; you just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Most of our day is spent looking at numbers and checking details over and over. It's quiet work mostly, interrupted by the sound of rickshaws outside or the tea man coming by. We like being in this part of town because everything is close by, even if the parking is a nightmare. It is just a regular office where we do our best to keep things organized.
