Pahwa Karyana Store

Our store, Pahwa Karyana Store, is actually part of our home, Pahwa Niwas, in Rishi Nagar. We’re located right at the back side of the Royal Hospital, which is how most people give directions to find us. It’s a small family-run shop where we sell all the basic grocery items like lentils, spices, tea, and biscuits. Since we live here too, the shop is almost like an extension of our living room. You’ll often find one of us sitting on a stool near the counter, waiting for a neighbor to drop by. We don't have a big staff, just the family members taking turns to mind the store. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, though the hospital nearby keeps things a bit busy during the day. We know most of our customers by name because they live just a few houses down. Sometimes we run out of things and have to tell people to come back tomorrow after the new stock arrives. The shelves are wooden and a bit old, but they hold everything we need. We don’t have a fancy billing system; we mostly just use a notebook and a pen to keep track of things. It’s a simple way to live and work. We enjoy the chat with the locals as much as we enjoy running the business. It’s not a supermarket, just a small place for the people of Rishi Nagar to get what they need.
