We are located at Parkash House on Mandi Road. If you’ve ever been down this way, you know it’s the heart of the trade around here. There’s always a truck unloading something or a tractor pulling a trailer nearby. Our building is pretty easy to spot, and we’ve been here for generations. The ground floor is usually where everything happens, with bags and containers stacked up high. We don't have a modern office with glass walls; it’s more about wooden desks and big ledgers where we keep track of what’s coming in and going out. The air usually smells like grain or whatever is being traded in the market that day. My family has been running this for years, and we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It’s a loud place sometimes, especially when the market is at its peak in the mornings. We take our time with each person, sitting down for a chat even if it’s just about the weather or the crop prices. There’s a lot of tradition in how we do things, and we don’t see much reason to change it if it still works. The floor is concrete and a bit worn down from all the boots walking over it. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily stock, making sure the weights are right and the farmers get what they need for the next season.
