Kinder Pal Bangar

I spend most of my time at the PHC in Kala Bakra. It is a bit of a drive out here in Jalandhar, but it is where the work is. Being an M O means the days are never really the same. Some mornings are quiet and then suddenly everyone shows up at once. The building is a standard government setup, nothing fancy about it. We have the usual chairs and desks and medical supplies. People from the village come in with all sorts of things going on. It can get a bit hectic when the waiting room fills up. I try to get through the paperwork when I can, but it piles up fast. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the fans make a bit of noise, but it works for what we need. It is important to be here for the people who live nearby so they do not have to travel so far for every little thing. I have my tea when there is a break, which is not as often as I would like. It is a lot of listening to people and trying to figure out how to help with what we have on hand. It is just a regular local clinic vibe. We see the same families year after year. It is a busy life, but it is the life I have here in Kala Bakra. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in.
