Jeewan Singh & Sons

Jeewan Singh & Sons is located right on the G. T. Road in Kartarpur. This town is well known for its woodworking, and we have been a part of that for many years now. Our workshop is always filled with the sound of saws and the smell of fresh timber. It is a family business, and you will usually find me or one of my sons working on a piece of furniture in the back. We don't have a big, fancy store with lights and glass windows. Most of our work is done to order, and we keep the finished pieces in a small area at the front. The G. T. Road is a main highway, so there are always people and trucks moving past our door. We use traditional tools for a lot of our work because that is how we were taught. We don't have a computer to design the furniture. We just draw the plans on paper or sometimes right on the wood itself. It is a dusty job, and our clothes are usually covered in wood shavings by the end of the day. We just focus on making things that are solid and will last a long time in someone's home. We don't have a marketing plan or any big goals. We just want to keep the workshop going and provide for our families. It is a simple life here in Kartarpur, and we like it that way.
