Ganpati Traders

We are located on the first floor, right above the Raj Di Hatti shop. It is one of those places that people use as a landmark when they are giving directions. Being in the middle of the bazaar means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the vendors downstairs calling out prices from early morning until the sun goes down. At Ganpati Traders, we have a pretty straightforward setup. We have some metal racks for the goods and a couple of desks that have seen better days. The stairs coming up are narrow, so we have to be careful when we are carrying boxes up and down. It is a bit of a workout, but we are used to it by now. The windows don't block out the noise, but they let in a good amount of light when the weather is clear. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who climb up the stairs to see us. It is a very local way of doing business. We don't use any fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still written down in big ledgers or on scraps of paper. It feels more real that way. Sometimes we stand on the balcony for a minute just to watch the crowd below. It is just a normal day-to-day grind for us here in Bazar Kalan, and we like it that way. No one expects anything fancy from us, just honest work.
