Kanda Tea Group

Our office is at Plot No. 157 in the Old Grain Market area. We are right near the Shiv Mandir, so we hear the temple bells every morning and evening. It’s a nice sound to work to. Kanda Tea Group is what we call ourselves, but it’s mostly just a few of us working in a warehouse-style building. The Old Grain Market is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. There are lots of narrow lanes and trucks unloading sacks of grain all day. We deal with tea, so our place smells a bit different from the neighbors. We have a small desk near the front where we take orders. The back is where we keep all the bulk stock. It’s an old building with high ceilings and it stays fairly cool even in the summer. I usually spend my time checking the inventory or talking to the delivery drivers. We don't have a corporate feel at all. Most of the furniture is stuff we've had for twenty years. It works just fine for us. Sometimes the temple festivals make the road very crowded, and we have to wait a bit longer to get our shipments out. It’s just how things go in this part of town. We are just regular people trying to run a steady business. No frills, just tea and hard work. It keeps us on our feet and we enjoy the daily routine of the market.
