H.K. Derpet Sports

H.K. Derpet Sports is located at 63A, Nijatam Nagar. It's a small place right in the middle of a residential area, so we see a lot of local kids and families. We mostly keep sports gear here, like cricket bats, balls, and stuff for football. The shelves are pretty crowded, and sometimes you have to move one thing to get to another. We started this because we all liked playing games when we were younger and it seemed like a good idea. Now, we just spend the day talking to customers who need a new pair of shoes or a better racquet. The shop gets a bit dusty because we leave the door open for air, but that’s just how it is. Sometimes the delivery guys have a hard time finding the street because it’s a bit narrow. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just walk in when they need something for their weekend match. We try to keep the prices fair so the local teams can afford what they need. There’s a small bench inside where people sit to try on shoes, and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We close up around eight usually, unless someone comes in late needing a last-minute item for a school game the next day. It’s a simple life, running a sports shop in a neighborhood like this. We know most of the people who come through the door by their first names. It's a nice way to spend the day.
