We are situated right at the General Bus Stand in Jalandhar. Being so close to the Punjab Roadways Depot Number 1 and Doaba Market means the energy around here never really stops. You can hear the buses revving their engines and the conductors calling out destinations all day long. Our office is a modest space where we sit and talk to people about their travel needs. I have lived here in Jalandhar for most of my life, so I know the bus routes and the local travel scene quite well. We don't have any shiny furniture or big advertisements. It is just a functional room with a few maps on the walls and an old computer that we use for all the bookings. Often, travelers come in while they are waiting for their bus to depart. They might need a ticket for later or just have a few questions about where to go. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a ceiling fan that keeps things moving. The paperwork is always stacked up on the side of my desk. We don't make a big deal out of what we do. It’s just about helping people get where they need to go without any extra trouble. Most of our days are spent checking schedules and answering the phone. It is a simple, honest way to make a living in a very busy part of town.
