Shri Dharmraj Marble

We’ve been here at Plot No. 41 in the Riico Industrial Area for quite some time now. Most mornings start with the sound of the gates opening and the smell of wet stone once the cutters get going. Shri Dharmraj Marble isn't a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s a working yard. We spend a lot of our day moving heavy slabs around and making sure things aren't cracked. People come by looking for stuff for their kitchens or their main floors, and we just show them what’s currently in the stacks. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much, especially in the summer months when the wind picks up around the industrial area, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We have a small crew here who knows how to handle the loaders. It’s mostly just hard work and getting the measurements right for whoever walks in. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork unless we have to. Most of the time, we’re out there in the yard. If you’re driving through Riico, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing special, just a place where we keep the marble and try to get through the day’s orders. We’ve seen a lot of neighbors come and go in this part of the industrial area, but we’re still here at Plot 41, just doing what we know how to do with the stone and the tools we’ve got.
