New Bajrang Hair Saloon

It’s been quite some time since we set up New Bajrang Hair Saloon here in Phalodi. If you know the Nagor High Way, you probably pass by us on Moriya Road. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a few chairs and some mirrors that we keep as clean as possible. Mostly, it’s just the sound of the clippers and the ceiling fan going round and round. During the day, it gets pretty hot outside, so people stop in to sit for a bit and get their hair sorted out. We have got the old radio playing most of the time. Sometimes the signal isn't great, but it fills the space. Jodhpur weather is tough on everyone, so we try to keep the shop feeling okay. We handle a lot of regulars who live nearby or guys just passing through on the highway. I’ve lived around here for years, so I know most of the faces. It is just a simple place where you come in, wait your turn if there is a line, and go about your day. There is a bench outside where people sit and talk about whatever is happening in town. We do not have a big team or anything, just a couple of us working the chairs. It is honest work and we keep the floors swept. Sometimes it gets busy on weekends, other times it is quiet. That is just how it goes in a place like this. We are part of the local scenery now.
