Jai Hair Saloon

You can find Jai Hair Saloon over in Phalodi, right in the heart of Sadar Bazar. It is a hot part of the world, so people are always looking to get their hair cut short to stay cool. Our shop is pretty basic. We have a few chairs and some big mirrors that we try to keep clean. The bazar is always moving, so there is never a quiet moment outside. We have been here in Jodhpur district for a long time, and most of the locals know our faces by now. We don't do anything complicated. If someone wants a shave or a simple trim, they come to us. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the shears. The floor is usually covered in bits of hair by the end of the day, but that’s just part of the job. We don't use any fancy products or expensive shampoos. It’s just plain soap and water and a sharp blade. Sometimes the fans don't work right, but we manage. People like to hang out and talk while they wait their turn. It’s more of a community spot than just a business. We just keep the doors open and see who walks in. It’s a simple way to make a living in Sadar Bazar. We don't have a sign that glows at night, just our name on the wall.
