Vinod Provision Store

Vinod Provision Store has been a part of Tonk Road for a long time. We don't have a complicated address because if you’ve lived around here, you already know where we are. Our shop is a small, crowded place filled with everything from lentils and spices to soap and snacks. We try to keep things organized, but when a big delivery comes in, there are boxes everywhere for a few hours. We don’t have a computer to track inventory; we just use our eyes and a pen. The shelves are made of old wood and they groan a bit under the weight of the flour bags. We know most of our customers by their first names and we know what they usually buy. It’s not a supermarket experience. There are no trolleys or bright neon lights. It’s just a neighborhood store where you can grab what you need for the kitchen. Sometimes we run out of things and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. We don’t have a fancy story to tell. We are just here to sell groceries to the people on Tonk Road. The pavement outside is often crowded with scooters, and the noise of the traffic is always there in the background. We’ve spent most of our lives behind this counter. It’s a simple business, but it keeps us connected to the people around us.
