Vijay Sales Corporation

Our place, Vijay Sales Corporation, is situated in Mahadev Nagar, Nandpuri, at building 17-B in the Sodala area. It is a residential-feeling spot which makes it feel a bit more relaxed than the city center. We have a small porch where we keep some of the larger items out of the way. The front door has a bell that rings whenever someone enters, though it is a bit temperamental and doesn't always go off. Inside, the air smells slightly of cardboard and old paper. We have a few posters on the wall that have been there since we moved in. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of big pedestal fans that move the air around when it gets stuffy. We keep our records in big thick binders that are lined up on a shelf behind the main counter. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play cricket in the lane outside, and we have to be careful when we are moving the van out. It is a comfortable place to work. We know most of the people on this block by their first names. We spend a lot of time just chatting with customers about their families while we handle their orders. It is not a high-pressure environment at all. We just take things as they come and try to stay on top of the work without getting too stressed out about it.
