Our shop is at 203 Vaishali Nagar, specifically in the Pratap Nagar section. It’s a place that smells like dried leaves and ground spices most of the time. We have shelves lined with small glass jars and plastic bottles filled with different powders and oils. I spend a lot of time measuring things out on a small scale. It’s a quiet kind of work. People come in looking for something for a cough or maybe some oil for their joints. We don't do big flashy sales. We just talk to whoever walks through the door about what they need. Vaishali Nagar is a busy area, but our corner stays relatively calm. I keep a few plants near the window, though they don't always do well in the heat. It’s just me and one assistant who helps with the grinding and mixing. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know us by name. Sometimes we run out of a certain herb and have to wait for the supplier to bring it from the countryside. We don't have a corporate office or a big team of experts. It’s just an Ayurvedic shop where we follow the old ways of doing things. The floor is made of old stone and it stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We open early because that’s when most people like to come by. There’s a tea stall just down the road where I usually get my breakfast before starting the day’s work.
