Uttam Spice

Uttam Spice is located in the Jhotwara Industrial Area, specifically at Plot No 57/58. We are right near Aslam School, so we hear the kids playing during their breaks, which is a nice change from the sound of the machinery. This place is mostly just a warehouse and a small processing unit. We don't have fancy furniture or a cooling system that works very well. Most of the guys here have been working with us for years. We handle all kinds of spices, mostly the ones people use every day in their kitchens. It gets really hot in here during the summer months, but we just get on with it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the stuff we send out is okay. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes around the industrial area, which causes a lot of shouting and honking. We do all the sorting by hand mostly because we don't trust the machines for everything. It’s a lot of sitting on the floor and looking through piles of seeds and pods. My hands always smell like turmeric, no matter how much I wash them. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small one that's a bit faded now. It’s a simple life, and we are fine with that. We just focus on getting through the orders and getting home to our families at the end of the day.
