Tardkeshwar Gift & Fancy

We are right across from Laziz Restaurant on New Sanganer Road. You can usually smell whatever they are cooking over there, especially in the evenings. It makes us quite hungry. The shop is at number 1, so we are easy to find. We deal in all kinds of fancy items and gifts. We have a lot of glass items, so we have to be careful when the kids come in running. The floor is just plain tiles and we sweep it a few times a day. Traffic on New Sanganer Road is pretty fast, so we don't get many people just wandering in; they usually stop their scooters specifically to come to us. We keep a lot of colorful gift boxes on display. Some of them have been there a while and the sun has faded the tops a bit. I should probably move them. I spend my days sitting on a wooden chair near the door. We don't have a fancy billing system, just a paper pad and a pen. It's simpler that way. My daughter helps me with the social media stuff sometimes, but mostly we just rely on people seeing the shop when they go to eat across the street. It’s a steady business and we like the people who stop by. The street lights outside flicker on right at dusk and that’s when we usually turn on the small lamp in the corner.
