Gift Basket

Gift Basket is run out of C-333 in Model Town, which is a part of Malviya Nagar. It’s a residential house, so it doesn't look like a typical shop from the outside. I decided to start this because I had some extra space and a lot of ideas for baskets. Malviya Nagar is a nice area, and Model Town is particularly quiet compared to the main markets. I spend a lot of time sitting on the floor surrounded by ribbons, cellophane, and different containers. The house address, C-333, is pretty easy to find if you are driving through Model Town. My family sometimes complains about the mess of packing materials in the hallway, but they help out when a big order comes in. It’s a very personal way to work. I don't have employees, just a few friends who drop by to help me wrap things up. The sunlight comes in through the front window in the afternoon, which is when I do most of my work. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it's a neighbor asking if I have a spare box. It’s not a corporate operation at all. I just like the process of putting things together in a way that looks decent. Living and working in the same spot in Malviya Nagar means I’m always around. It’s a simple, home-based business that keeps me busy every day. I don't have a big sign out front, just the house number C-333.
