Tanuja Ayurvedic Upchar

Our shop is on Todi Sikar Road, right by Kumawat Bhawan. It’s a busy spot, especially with the New Transport Nagar across from us. You can usually see the Mangal Bella Garden from the front door if the traffic isn't too thick. We’ve been at Tanuja Ayurvedic Upchar for quite some time. The shelves are full of jars and bottles that don't always have the neatest labels. It’s not like those modern pharmacies you see in the malls. We do things the old way. People come in with all sorts of complaints. Some have back pain, others can't sleep. We just listen and give them what we have on the shelf. The floor is tile and we try to keep it clean, but the dust from the Sikar Road is a constant battle. It gets everywhere. Sometimes people just stop by to chat while they're waiting for a bus near the garden. We don't have a receptionist. You just walk in and wait your turn. It’s a practical place. We don’t have air conditioning, so the ceiling fan stays on all day long. In the winter, it’s actually quite nice inside. We aren't trying to be doctors in white coats. We’re just local people who know about herbs and traditional ways. It’s a small shop, but it serves the neighborhood well enough. We keep the doors open six days a week, sometimes seven if someone really needs help. It's a lot of work, but we manage.
