If you’re looking for us, we’re right on Tonk Road at M-1. Sunil Agarwals Chemistry has been the place where students come to get their heads around formulas and reactions. It’s not a big fancy academy, just a couple of rooms where we set up chairs and a whiteboard. Tonk Road is always moving, so you can hear the buses and cars outside while we’re talking about the periodic table. The walls have some old charts on them that have been there forever. We go through a lot of markers and notebooks in a month. Students come in after their regular school hours, looking a bit tired but ready to work. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you just walk in and someone will be there to talk to you. The lighting isn't the brightest, but it’s enough to see the notes on the board. We spend a lot of time explaining things over and over until they click for everyone. It’s rewarding when a student finally gets a difficult concept. Between classes, we usually sit and grade papers or prep for the next lesson. There’s a tea shop just down the street where we get our chai. It’s a simple setup, but it works for what we need. It’s mostly just hard work and a lot of studying here at M-1. We stay late most evenings during exam season. It's just what happens when there is a lot to learn and not much time left. We just keep teaching and hoping for the best results for our students.
