Sony World

Sony World is situated at 135 M I Road. This part of the city is always moving, and being on M I Road means we see a lot of different people every day. The shop has been here for a while. We have the usual glass windows where we put some of the electronics so people walking by can see what’s inside. It’s mostly just shelves and boxes of various gadgets and home appliances. We spend a lot of our time unboxing new arrivals or helping someone figure out which screen size fits their room. It can get pretty bright in here with all the display lights on. The floor is tile and we have to sweep it a lot because of the dirt from the street. During the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the shop quite hard. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept in the back storage area. We aren't a corporate office; we are a retail spot where things get moved around and sold. Sometimes the inventory takes a long time to count, and we stay late. It’s a regular job. We answer the phone, talk to people about the features of a camera or a TV, and handle the billing at the counter. There’s nothing very special about the building itself, just a solid place at number 135. We just keep the doors open and the electronics plugged in for anyone who stops.
