Rajdeep Creation

If you walk into the Cloth Market at Sikar House and look for Shop No. 5, that is where you will find us. We have been at Rajdeep Creation for a while now. The market is always crowded, especially in the mornings when the new stock arrives. We spend most of our time unrolling fabrics and showing them to people who come by. It is a small shop but we keep it packed with all sorts of materials. Sometimes the aisles get blocked because we have so many bundles lying around. It is just the way things go here. We do not have fancy lights or anything, just some tube lights so people can see the colors properly. My brother and I run the place usually. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. On hot days, we keep the fan on high and hope for a breeze from the doorway. People come in looking for specific prints or weights of cloth. We try to keep track of what is popular this month. It is mostly a lot of folding and unfolding all day long. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread or scraps. We close up when the sun goes down and the market starts to quiet down. It is hard work being on your feet, but it is what we know and what we have always done. We do not have a big team, just us working every day.
