If you know Sikar Road, you definitely know the Teen Dukan area. That is exactly where we are located. It is a very busy part of town with lots of trucks and buses constantly going past the door. The dust from the road is a constant battle for us. I feel like I am always wiping down the glass counters at Shubham Fancy Store. We sell all sorts of small things that people need for their homes or for local celebrations. It is a real mix of inventory. I do not follow any particular order when I am putting things out on the shelves, I just put them wherever they seem to fit. My father started this work a long time ago and I just kept it going because it is what I know. It is a steady living. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming here for years. They know exactly where everything is kept, sometimes even better than I do. I spend most of the day on my feet and sitting down feels like a luxury. The rainy season is always the hardest because the road gets muddy and people track it into the shop. But you just deal with it and keep moving. I do not have any big plans to change things. I like the shop just the way it is. It stays busy enough for me.
