Shringar Fancy & Gift Shop

Our shop is tucked away in the lane by Kishan Hospital. It’s 30 B on Akhepura side. Because we are in a gali, it’s a bit quieter than the main road, which is nice. We get people who are visiting the hospital or just folks living in the houses nearby. We have all the fancy items like bindis, bangles, and small gift items for kids' parties. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things high. Sometimes I need a ladder just to get a specific toy down for a customer. My wife helps out in the afternoons when I go for lunch. We've had the same wooden counter for ten years. It’s got some scratches on it now. We don't have a big neon sign, just a simple board above the door. Most of our customers are regulars who live around here. They come in to chat as much as they do to buy things. When it rains, the gali gets a bit muddy, so we put a rug down. It’s a simple life. We don't have any fancy cooling, just a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound. It’s home to us though. We open around ten and stay until the hospital visitors start heading home. The kids from the neighborhood often peek in just to see the new toys, even if they aren't buying anything today.
