Shri Shyam Novelty Store

We’ve been running Shri Shyam Novelty Store in Sanganer for a good while now. It is a busy little spot, especially on the weekends when people are out doing their shopping. The store isn’t anything too big or fancy, just a few rooms filled with shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling. We keep all sorts of things, from small plastic toys for children to different kinds of household items that people suddenly realize they need. Sanganer is a noisy place with all the traffic, but inside the shop, it stays relatively calm unless it’s a festival season. I spend most of my mornings dusting off the counters and making sure the latest stock is put away where people can see it. Sometimes the boxes pile up in the back and it takes me a whole afternoon just to sort through them. The neighborhood has seen a lot of changes over the years, but we are still here in the same spot. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few streets away, so we know most of them by name. It’s nice to have that kind of connection with people. We don't really do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. The shop door usually stays open to let some air in, even if it brings in a bit of dust from the road. It’s just how things go here daily.
