Shree Salasar Engineering Works

Our workshop, Shree Salasar Engineering Works, is based in G-60, V.K.I. Area, Extn. If you’ve ever been down to the industrial extension, you know it’s a lot of metal and noise. We have been working out of this unit for several years now. Most of our time is spent on the shop floor with the machines. It’s a dusty place and there is always some grease on the floor, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. We do a lot of different engineering jobs, mostly fixing parts or making small components that other businesses need. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our breaks talking about the work. We aren't a giant factory, just a decent-sized shed with the tools we need to get through the orders. Sometimes we stay late when a machine breaks down or a client needs something done by tomorrow morning. The heat in the V.K.I. area can be something else during the summer months. We just keep the shutters open and get on with it. Every morning we open up the gate and check the list of things to do. It’s a lot of physical work, and our hands are usually dirty by nine in the morning. People know us for just doing what we say we will. There’s no big office with air conditioning here, just the sound of drills and the smell of cut steel all day long.
