Shaikh Furniture

Shaikh Furniture is just a small place we have over at No. 1410/1 on Kailash Path. We’ve been here in Rana Colony, Shastri Nagar for quite a while now. Most days you’ll find us working on different wood pieces, maybe a bed frame or some chairs that someone from around the neighborhood needs. It gets pretty noisy with the saws going and there is sawdust everywhere most of the time. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It is just a few of us here making sure things are put together right so they don't fall apart. Sometimes people stop by just to ask about a fix for an old table they have at home. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the work in front of us. The shop stays open pretty late depending on how much we have to get done by the end of the week. Being in Shastri Nagar is good because people know where to find us. We don't really have a fancy office, just the workshop floor and some tools we've used for years. It’s hard work on the hands but it’s what we do. We just want to make furniture that stays solid for a long time without making a big fuss about it. If you walk down Kailash Path you can usually hear us working away. It’s a plain shop but it serves its purpose for us and the folks around here. We hope to stay here for many more years.
