Shailendra Verma

Our place is at E-216 in Ambabari, right by Ganesh Park. It’s a nice enough area, mostly quiet except for when the kids are out playing in the park. Shailendra Verma is what it says on the paperwork. We operate out of this space and it’s become quite familiar over the years. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and the floors are easy to clean. We have a few trees out front that provide some shade in the summer heat, which helps keep the front room cool. We don’t have a lot of big equipment or loud machines. It’s mostly just people sitting at tables working on their various projects. You can hear the birds in the morning if you get in early enough. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to borrow a tool or just to say hello. It feels more like a house than a stiff office building, which suits us just fine. We have a routine that we follow, starting with a clean-up of the front porch before we get started. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits every day. We dress for the weather and the work. The address is easy to find because everyone knows where Ganesh Park is. It’s a good landmark to have. We’ve seen the seasons change many times from these windows. It’s a steady kind of life here in Ambabari. The afternoon sun hits the back wall around four o'clock every day, signaling it is almost time to go.
