Sarabhai Pharma

Sarabhai Pharma is tucked away at 21A Bajarang Colony in the Bagh Badanpura area, near Ganga Pole. This part of the city is old and the streets are narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze when the delivery vans come through. The shop has been here for a while and the front door has a slight creak that I never got around to fixing. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of metal racks filled with medicine strips. It’s a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we have some bright tube lights that do the job. I spend my time sorting through the stock and making sure we haven't run out of the basics. Ganga Pole is a busy place with a lot of history, and you can feel it in the air. We see a lot of the same faces every week. I don’t believe in making the place look like a corporate office. It’s a pharmacy, so it looks like one—plenty of boxes, some loose papers, and a phone that rings more than it should. My chair is a bit uncomfortable but I’m rarely sitting down anyway. We handle the prescriptions as they come and try to stay organized despite the cramped space. It’s a bit chaotic during the rush hours, but we manage to get through it every single day.
