We are located at No. 30 Chaman Street in the Kagzi Colony part of Sanganer. If you know anything about this area, you know it is famous for paper and handmade things. Saan Boards Pvt. Ltd. fits right in with that. Our building is on a narrow street and sometimes it is a real struggle to get the bigger vehicles in and out without hitting something. Kagzi Colony has a certain smell to it—sort of like wet paper and glue—and our shop is no different. We spend the day dealing with all sorts of boards. It is heavy work and by the end of the shift, everyone is pretty tired. The walls are lined with stacks of product reaching almost to the ceiling. We have a small area in the front where we keep the books, but it is mostly just a place for work. The floors are concrete and they have seen a lot of wear over the years. We don't really do much in the way of decorating. There might be an old calendar on the wall from three years ago. We focus on getting the boards cut and ready. The sun hits the street hard in the afternoon, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. It is just a normal local business doing what we know how to do best in Sanganer. We take a lunch break together and then get back to moving the heavy stacks.
