Sagar Masala

You can find us over at No. 54 on the first floor along Vatika Road. Sitapura is a busy area, and there is always something going on downstairs. Being on the first floor means we have to haul everything up the stairs, which is a bit of a workout every single day. We mostly deal with spices and masalas, so the whole hallway usually smells like cumin or coriander. It’s a strong scent that stays on your clothes long after you leave the workplace. The room where we keep the bags is quite cramped. We try to keep it organized, but when a new shipment comes in, there isn't much space to walk around. We use old wooden desks and the chairs squeak a bit when you sit down. My brother and I run things mostly. We don't have a big team or fancy computers, just a couple of ledgers and a small scale for weighing the powders. The window looks out onto the main road, and we spend a lot of time watching the traffic while we wait for customers to call. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit by the window and wait for it to come back. It's just a regular local business trying to get the work done. We’ve been in this Sitapura spot for a while and the people around here know us as the spice guys.
