S. K. Jain Engineering Contractor is based right near Shastri Park, in Soni Colony. If you know the park, you know exactly where we are. It’s a decent area and we’ve been working out of here for a long time. Being a contractor means we are usually out on site, but this is where the planning happens. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some tables and a lot of paper. We handle various engineering jobs that come our way. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to actually get some filing done. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or expensive coffee machines. We’d rather just have the right tools for the jobs we take on. Our team is mostly local people who live around here or a few blocks over. It makes the commute easy, which is good because the roads around Soni Colony can get jammed up in the evenings. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we’re still here doing the same kind of work. It’s honest labor and it keeps us busy. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. Word usually just gets around by people talking to each other. That’s how we prefer it anyway. It’s just us, the equipment, and the work that needs doing every day. We don't try to be something we aren't, we just do the engineering work.
