Our office isn't anything special to look at. We’ve got some desks, a lot of filing cabinets, and probably too many stacks of paper sitting around. Being an engineering firm, there’s always something technical being discussed, usually with a lot of hand waving and pointing at screens. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee bar. We just have a kettle in the back that gets a lot of use. The windows look out towards the street, so we see a lot of people passing by throughout the day. We’ve been at this for a while and we have a routine that works for us. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment. We just show up, do the engineering work, and try to get home at a reasonable hour. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a drawing or check some specs, but that’s just how it goes. The people here are mostly locals who have been in the trade for years. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just fix problems and design things that work.
