Rbanc Higher Secondary School

We’ve been running Rbanc Higher Secondary School here at 166, Gordhan Colony for a good many years. It’s right off Ajmer Road in Jaipur, which means it’s always busy outside. In the mornings, you can hear the horns and the traffic starting up while we’re just getting the gates open. The building itself has been around for a while. It’s not one of those fancy new places with glass everywhere. It’s mostly just brick and concrete, with some wear and tear on the stairs from all the feet moving up and down. We have a lot of classrooms packed into the space. Sometimes it feels a bit tight, especially when the bell goes off for lunch and everyone wants to be first in line. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy, as the dust from Ajmer Road really likes to find its way inside every window. The staff usually brings their own tiffin, and you can smell the food in the staffroom around noon. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just get through the lessons and make sure the students are actually doing their work. Gordhan Colony is a nice enough area, mostly houses and some small shops. We see the same parents every day at the gate. It’s a very normal, local life here. Sometimes the fans rattle a bit in the summer heat, but we just keep them running and get on with the day. It’s our spot.
