Rawat Mahila B Ed College

Rawat Mahila B Ed College is located in Karni Vihar, just off the main Ajmer Road in Jaipur. It’s a spot that gets a lot of traffic because of the highway, but the college itself stays pretty focused on the work inside. We deal mostly with young women who are training to become teachers themselves. The atmosphere is different from a regular school because everyone here is an adult and they’re mostly worried about their practical exams and teaching sessions. The building in Hirapura is easy enough to find. Inside, the hallways are often lined with charts and project work that the students have made for their training modules. We spend our days going through lectures and then watching the students practice their lessons in front of each other. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of writing in notebooks. The staff room is usually a mess of textbooks and tea cups because there’s always something to plan. Since it’s a B Ed college, the focus is really on the methods of teaching and making sure the ladies are ready to manage their own classrooms one day. Jaipur heat can be tough in the afternoons, but we have enough fans to keep things moving. It’s a straightforward institution where the main goal is just getting through the course material and helping everyone pass their final certifications without any unnecessary drama. We just try to keep everyone on schedule and ready for the teaching profession.
