We are located at 62-64 in the Bardharna Industrial Area of VKIA. At Pushp Forging, the environment is quite intense because of the nature of the work. You can hear the heavy hammers from the street before you even see the sign. Inside, the heat from the furnaces is always there, even in the winter. I spend my day walking between the machines and the small office area. There are stacks of raw metal waiting to be worked on and finished parts ready to be shipped out. The floor is dark and oily, which is pretty standard for a forging unit. We have a team of guys who have been with us for a long time. They know the sounds of the machines and can tell if something is off just by listening. It is a place of hard work and very little talk during the shifts. I usually have a lot of paperwork to deal with, but I prefer being out where the action is. The air smells like burnt oil and hot steel. It’s not the kind of place where you wear your best clothes. We deal with a lot of heavy parts, so everyone has to be careful where they walk. It’s a lot of work and we just focus on getting the specifications right for every piece we make. The clock on the wall stopped working months ago, but we just go by the shift sirens.
